Golf Scoreboard TV is a stand-alone golf tournament application which is centered around a television leaderboard.  In addition to providing a real-time tv scoreboard, Golf Scoreboard TV will also print tee sheets (starter's lists), alphabetic players lists, players by score, scorecard labels, cart signs, and various other reports and documents that you need in order to run your tournament.  The tv-scoreboard leaderboard is one of the features that  sets GSTV apart from other tournament management software.

In May 2006 Dennis was able to combine his 30+ years as a software developer with his passion for golf and created Golf Scoreboard TV.   As a board member of his club's Men's Golf Association, Dennis has performed the duties of tournament chairman and planner and understands what is needed to manage a 100-200 player/team event.  As a 25-year tournament player he also understands the interests of the golfer, and what they want to see on the scoreboard.  GSTV software combines the needs of both sides to provide a tool for the tournament manager, and a point of interest for tournament participants.

Score Entry and other data inputs are driven by player name, making the system very easy to operate and maintain.   In most tournaments of roughly 120-240 players, only three or four keystrokes of the player's name will be necessary in order to select the player/team that you want to update.

For two-day flighted tournaments the system includes a very simple module to perform the flight breaks and assign flights to all participants.  Once flighted, all "Day 2" reports are available separated by flight.

GSTV also has  the ability to calculate skins.  By easily entering the player/team's hole-by-hole score the system will calculate any holes on which a skin has been won.  Skins can be within flight only, or a skin across the entire field.   Individual players/teams can be excluded from the skins calculation if they decided not to participate in the skins game (in the case of "optional" skins games").

By combining GSTV with television monitors* in your bar or clubhouse, you can present a scrolling tournament leaderboard  much like you see on major network tv broadcasts.  Easy entry of players/teams combined with easy score entry makes GSTV so simple to use that the least computer literate among you can manage a tournament.  Keeping players in your facility to watch the scores will lead to increased sales in your food and beverage department.
